Werk Magazine 25A: “No.34: Doornberg 1712 + No. 35 Unfinished Work”

WERK No.35 “Unfinished Work”

WERK No.35 “Unfinished Work” arrives Thursday 16th October as part of Frieze 2025 at Dover Street Market.

This commemorative edition marks 25 years of WERK Magazine. Intentionally presented as a book in an unbound date, each folder signature opens into a full-spread posted, allowing the content to be read in multiple ways. Speaking to the unfinished nature of artistic process, every copy is hand-collated, making no two alike. No trimming, no binding and no fixed order leaves space for thought, change and interruption.

Featuring a special contribution by Edwards Goss, this issue continues the spirit of WERK as a publication that resists closure.

WERK No.34: “Doornberg 1712 Sri Lanka”

WERK No.34: “Doornberg 1712 Sri Lanka” arrives Thursday 16th October as part of Frieze 2025 at Dover Street Market.

This edition presents Sri Lanka as a mosaic of rhythm, fragments and pulse, through an excavation of space, colour and memory. Imperfections, hand-applied pigments, textured pages and tactile materials are embraced as part of the experience, making each copy uniquely personal. Three saddle-stitched booklets, assembled by hand, make up this edition, reflecting the iterative and experimental nature of WERK.

Only three hundred copies of this edition exist, intended for reference, exhibition and archival use, shaped by how it is handled and experienced.
